WorkAbility Project – Inclusive Pathways to Employment for Young People

This project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland, through the Department of Social Protection, and the European Union.

 

Cavan County Local Development supports young people in county Cavan with a long-term medical condition/illness/disability to access employment opportunities locally.  Our service aims to support you to break barriers, unleash your potential, and create a future filled with opportunity and success. 

Individual Support for Young People

One to one guidance and support

Our job coach will work closely with you to understand your unique skills, interests, and aspirations.  Support with CV development, interview skills and links to employers.

Education Support

If further education is your goal, we will assist you in exploring educational pathways, identifying courses to match your interests. 

Employment Opportunities

Gain access to inclusive employment opportunities through our network of employers who value diversity and inclusion.

Life Coaching

Access to experienced life coaches to provide guidance, encouragement, and support as you navigate life's challenges and pursue your dreams. Whether you need help setting goals, managing stress, or building confidence. 

Work Trials

Gain an insight into different work environments while enhancing your CV. 

Networking Opportunities

We organise networking events aimed at getting small groups of young people together to enhance their confidence and employment potential. 

Supports for Employers

  • Free and confidential job matching service.

  • Advice on DSP grants and supports when employing people.

  • Information on disability awareness training funding for employers.

  • Matching potential employees to your business needs.

  • Ongoing support throughout the employment.

This free and confidential service is open to young people from the age of 16.
