The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is co-funded by the Irish
Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, and the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021 -2027.

LEADER promotes sustainable development in Europe’s rural areas addressing economic, social and environmental concerns. The LEADER Programme is an EU & Irish Government grant aid programme which supports rural communities to become better places to live and work. CCLD have prepared a ‘Local Development Strategy’ (LDS) plan to guide us in delivering the LEADER programme, which commenced in April 2024 and will run until end 2027

Cavan County Local Development are currently inviting applications from members of the farming community who wish to seek employment on the Rural Social Scheme.
Tús is a Department of Social Protection activation initiative
Tús is a Department of Social Protection activation initiative for people who are long-term unemployed and in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance. It was launched in December 2010. Breffni Integrated run the TÚS Initiative in County Cavan.
